Getting Started

What is Member Wallet?

Member Wallet is a prepaid account linked to your club membership. Load funds onto your wallet, then use it to pay for purchases anywhere at the club.

Do I need Member Wallet?

No, it's optional. But it makes payments faster and more convenient - no need for cash or cards at the club.

Is there a fee to use Member Wallet?

No, Member Wallet is free to use. There are no fees for top-ups, payments, or maintaining your account.

Can I use my wallet at other clubs?

Your wallet is linked to your specific club membership. It cannot be used at other clubs unless they are part of the same network.

Adding Funds

What's the minimum top-up amount?

This varies by club, typically R50-R100 minimum.

What payment methods can I use to top up?

Visa and Mastercard (credit or debit cards) are accepted for top-ups.

How long does a top-up take?

Top-ups are usually instant. Your balance updates within seconds of a successful payment.

Can I top up at the club?

Some clubs allow in-person top-ups at the front desk. Check with your club.

Payments

Where can I use my wallet?

Anywhere at the club that accepts member payments - bar, restaurant, pro shop, cart rentals, events, and more.

What if I don't have enough balance?

The payment will be declined. You'll need to top up before completing the purchase.

Can I split a payment?

Check with staff. Some clubs allow splitting between wallet and another payment method.

Can someone else use my wallet?

Your wallet is personal to your membership. Family members on linked memberships have their own wallets.

Auto Top-Up

What is auto top-up?

Automatic top-up charges your saved card to add funds when your balance is low, so you never run out.

Is auto top-up safe?

Yes. Your card details are encrypted and stored securely. You can cancel auto top-up anytime.

Can I pause auto top-up temporarily?

Yes, you can pause and resume auto top-up in your wallet settings.

What happens if auto top-up fails?

You'll receive a notification. Your balance stays as-is until you fix the issue (update card) or manually top up.

Digital Card

Do I need to add my card to Apple/Google Wallet?

No, it's optional but recommended. It makes paying at the club faster - just show your phone.

My phone doesn't have Apple/Google Wallet. Can I still use Member Wallet?

Yes. You can pay using your member number. Staff can look you up at any register.

Does my digital card work offline?

Yes. The barcode is stored on your phone and works without internet connection.

Can I add my card to multiple devices?

Yes. Add to your phone, tablet, Apple Watch, or any supported device.

Balance & Transactions

How do I check my balance?

Log into the Member Portal and go to My Wallet. Your balance appears at the top.

Why is my digital card balance different from the portal?

Your digital card syncs periodically. For the most accurate balance, check the Member Portal.

Can I get a refund to my wallet?

Yes. Refunds from club purchases are credited back to your wallet.

Can I withdraw money from my wallet?

Wallet funds are for use at the club. Withdrawals to bank accounts are generally not available.

Security

Is my money safe?

Yes. Your wallet funds are held securely and linked to your membership account.

What if I lose my phone?

Your wallet is tied to your membership, not your phone. Get a new device and re-add your digital card.

Can someone steal my wallet balance?

Your wallet requires membership authentication. Without access to your account, others cannot use your funds.

What if my card is used fraudulently?

Contact the club immediately. Unauthorized transactions can be investigated and reversed.

Account & Membership

What happens to my wallet if I cancel my membership?

Check with your club. Some clubs refund remaining balances; others require you to spend down before cancelling.

Can I transfer my balance to another member?

Generally no. Wallet balances are non-transferable.

My membership expired. Can I still access my wallet?

You may need to renew your membership to access wallet features. Contact your club for options.

Technical Issues

I can't log into the Member Portal

Use the "Forgot Password" link to reset your password, or contact the club.

My top-up payment was declined

Check your card details, ensure online payments are enabled, or try a different card.

I'm not receiving notifications

Check your notification preferences in wallet settings and verify your contact details.
